Step 1: Hand-Forged in Kibera by Skilled Artisans

Our story begins in Kibera, Nairobi, where skilled African artisans hand-forge each piece of jewelry from recycled brass. These fair trade artisans use traditional metalworking techniques passed down through generations, shaping raw brass into beautiful rings, brass bangle bracelets, earrings, arm cuffs, and chokers.

Step 2: Quality Control at Our Nairobi Workshop

Once the handcrafted jewelry arrives at our Nairobi workshop, our jewelry team takes over. Every piece is:

• Counted and Confirmed - Ensuring all pieces from Kibera are accounted for
  
• Quality Controlled - Inspecting for craftsmanship, symmetry, and structural integrity
  
• SKUed and Sized - Cataloged and organized by product type and size

This initial quality control ensures only the finest pieces move forward to the e-coating process.

Step 3: The E-Coating Process

This is where science meets artisan craftsmanship. Our jewelry team follows a precise 7-step nano ceramic e-coating process:

1. Degrease - Removes oils, dust, and residue from the brass surface
   
2. Rinse with Distilled Water - Ensures a clean base for coating
   
3. Neutralize - Balances the pH of the brass surface
   
4. Drag Out Rinse - Removes neutralizer residue
   
5. E-Coat with Nano Ceremix - Applies the nano ceramic coating through electrophoresis
   
6. Drag Out Rinse and Steam - Removes excess coating with distilled water
   
7. Rinse Aid Dip - Prevents water spotting

Curing: The coated jewelry is then cured in an oven at 150 degrees Celsius for one hour. This heat-curing process hardens the nano ceramic coating, bonding it permanently to the brass.
